Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga at Sai Patanjali International Yoga Academy (SPIYA), London Ontario is a gentle, therapeutic, and highly accessible yoga program designed especially for older adults, beginners with limited mobility, and anyone seeking a safe way to stay active.

This program uses a sturdy chair for support, allowing participants to perform yoga postures safely while seated or using the chair for balance. Each class includes gentle stretching, joint mobility exercises, breathing techniques, guided relaxation, and light strengthening movements to improve overall physical and mental well-being.

Our certified E-RYT 500 & YACEP teacher with 9,000+ hours of teaching experience ensures each session is adapted to individual needs, making it ideal for seniors with arthritis, joint stiffness, balance issues, chronic pain, high blood pressure, or those recovering from injury.

Chair Yoga provides a safe and enjoyable way for seniors to maintain flexibility, manage stress, improve circulation, and stay socially connected—all within a supportive and uplifting environment.
